PODpublishing produces high-quality fine art prints on demand in our studio using the finest papers and printers available. Because we only produce prints when they are ordered, we are unable to offer full refunds for orders which are cancelled after we have made the print or prints. Below is a detailed explanation of our policy in various circumstances:
It is PODpublishing's policy not to process the billing of any credit card order we receive until the order has been printed, in order to guarantee our ability to fulfill any order we have been paid for. If a PODpublishing customer cancels an order - for any reason - prior to its printing we simply stop production on the order and do not bill the credit card.
Once we have actually made the print we bill the credit card and send the job to our shipping department to prepare it for UPS delivery. If a PODpublishing customer cancels an order which we have already printed prior to it being packed for shipping, we stop the shipping process and add the cancelled order to a "dead prints" pile. We will then issue a refund to the customer's credit card for an amount equal to 50% of the print price and taxes charged for the item, plus 100% of the shipping charge. The 50% of the print price and taxes we do not refund helps to cover our printing and production costs for producing the print when it was ordered.
If a PODpublishing customer cancels an order which we have already printed after it has been packed for shipping, we stop the shipping process and add the cancelled order to a "packed dead prints" pile. We will then issue a refund to the customer's credit card for an amount equal to 50% of the print price and taxes charged for the item, and 50% of the shipping charge. The 50% of the shipping price we do not refund in such cases is to cover the cost of packaging the order.
If a PODpublishing customer cancels an order after it has been shipped, our policy is to offer a 50% refund of the print price and taxes charged for the item providing that it is returned to us in its original package in its original new condition. |
